Keynote Speaker: Chad Jenkins – “Robotics to Reach Out and Change the World”

Chadwicke Jenkins is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at the University of Michigan.  Previously a Brown professor and Barrington resident, Prof. Jenkins is thrilled to be returning to Barrington to share his passion with students and their families.  Chad’s work addresses problems in robot learning and human-robot interaction, primarily focused on robot learning from demonstration.  He also works with computer vision, machine learning, and computer animation.  Chad holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Alma College, a M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.  He was selected as a Sloan Research Fellow in 2009 and is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE).
